On Monday, the Government of India has announced to ban of 59 Chinese apps in the country. Information Minister of India has tweeted, saying that to save users privacy and data information, they ban 59 Chinese apps. According to the Information Technology Act, under section 69A, the emergent nature of threats has forced 59 apps to be blocked as they are engaged in information transfer activities. It is prejudicial to India’s sovereignty and integrity, defense of India, the security of the state, and public order.
