Symbiosis National Aptitude Test is popularly known as SNAP. This is an entrance exam for the one, who wants to join MBA courses offered by 16 institutes of Symbiosis International (Deemed) University [SIU] have to appear for the Exam.
SNAP preparation this year is in full swing, while the SNAP 2020 exam was concluded successfully on 9th January 2021. The results will be out on 22nd January. SNAP preparation is the most important topic for MBA aspirants.

SNAP Preparation 2021
SNAP every year is conducted in December. SNAP 2021 will also be conducted tentatively in the second week of December. The details for which will be released in the second week of August 2021. Before starting to plan for SNAP preparation, it is important to know the criteria. Let’s check this.
SNAP Eligibility Criteria
One must have a degree in graduation with an aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent grades and an aggregate of 45% marks or equivalent grades for SCs and STs. Students in Final Year can also apply for it, though, the admission will remain provisional until the submission of a passing certificate with an aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent grades and an aggregate of 45% marks or equivalent grades for SCs and STs.
International students or a graduate from an international university or institute can also apply provided they have a certificate of equivalence from AIU (Association of Indian Universities). SNAP 2021 Important Dates (Tentative)
Now, take a look at the tentative important dates before SNAP Preparation:
- Symbiosis International (Deemed) University will announce the dates for SNAP 2021 in the 2nd week of August.
- The SNAP 2021 registration is expected to begin in the 2nd week of August or on by 16th August (last year).
- Mock tests for SNAP 2021 are expected to take place from 3rd week of October to 1st week of November.
- Snap 2021 Hall Ticket can be downloaded by the 1st week of December.
- The exam is expected to take place from second week of December 2021
- Results will be out tentatively by January.
How to prepare SNAP 2021? Start with Exam Pattern
The question paper will have 3 sections: General English, Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency and Analytical & Logical Reasoning. General Awareness was scrapped in 2019. The exam duration of SNAP is 2 hours, and including both MCQs and NON-MCQs questions, there will be 110 questions in the question paper.
Total Marks will be 150, and the mode of language will be English. The examination will be held online, and also, negative marking will be done. The exam pattern is the critical part of your SNAP exam guide and leads you nearer to the answer to the question “How to prepare SNAP?”.
In the QA, DI-DS sections there will be 5 special questions of 2 marks each and marks will be awarded to the right answer of normal questions of the section. In VARC section 1.5 marks will be awarded for each right answer. 25% of marks will be penalized for each incorrect answer.

Symbiosis International (Deemed) University has prescribed Comprehension Reading, Verbal reasoning and verbal ability will together be clubbed as General English section, Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency are together clubbed as Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency section and Analytical & Logical Reasoning is a different section.
